10 tips to look A plus

If everybody would listen to cosmeticians, aging could be delayed by 10 years at least. But if you can't follow their advice exactly, here is the minimum you can do.

  1. Cleanse your face every morning and evening, and then apply a toner using fine circular moves. This piece of advice is as old as make-up, it is true, but somehow, not many of us seem to pay any attention to it.
  2. The cosmetic disk used for cleansing must be moisturized in lukewarm water and well dried before usage. It will be less rough this way and won't hurt skin matrix.
  3. After 30 years of age, a special eye-cream is no longer luxury, but necessity. Even though grandmothers never used and still had smooth skin, you must admit they never lived in such a polluted environment as ours, either. Use the cream in very small amounts mornings and evenings.
  4. After 40 years of age, the special night cream is a MUST. Be careful, though, and choose the appropriate one for your skin type (dry, oily, combined, sensitive etc.).
  5. Have a body peeling once a week. Don't mind face peeling exclusively. By removing dead cells, skin will recover its natural glow and will absorb lotions faster. An AHA based lotion, for instance, is equally effective as a home-made mixture of honey, maize and few drops of lemon juice.
  6. If you aren't handy for masks preparation or blackheads removal, don't strain yourself trying. You'll only succeed in hurting your skin. Peeling solves half the problem, while effective in-store masks can do the rest.
  7. Never shower breasts with hot water, but with lukewarm even cold water only. Use nourishing cream daily and massage them in ascendant (never descendant!) direction.
  8. Never massage your own face, because facial muscles are most sensitive and can be easily hurt with the wrong moves. This applies for everyone, unless, of course, you graduated some kind of cosmetic school. In case you ever wondered why women always using tons of lotions look like mummies shortly after, this is the answer.
  9. Don't treat your hair as if it were your greatest enemy. Find the right hair color and stick to it. Use hair balm every two or three washes, don't wash your hair daily (contrary to what famous commercial slogans may urge you to do) and don't brush it violently. It is as simple as that to maintain a beautiful natural hair.
  10. Choose the right soap considering your skin type. If you have dry and sensitive skin, you may need a fat rich content, such as lanoline. For bath, use soaps containing plant extracts, essential oils and perfume. These ingredients have revitalizing and astringent influence on skin and also improve the quality of hard water due to their additional agents.
