If you suffer of insomnia you just have to follow few simple rules to be able to get some sleep at night.
- Eliminate from your diet foods or drinks containing sweeteners such as Splenda, Aspartame, Equal, Nutrisweet and and Sugar Alcohols. Use sugar or honey instead.
- Fruit juices and teas are much better then coffee and soda.
- Drink red wine instead of alcoholic beverages, but don't overdo it. Try to keep your red wine intake to two glasses or less. Alcohol is an excitant and makes you agitated and nervous, which can be a cause of insomnia.
- Don't drink any drinks containing caffeine after 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Your body needs 7 hours to eliminate caffeine out of your system. Drink decaffeinated coffee or tea.
- Limitate your intake of pork meat and trans fats.
- Have an active life.
