The rough skin from your heels and the sole of your foot can be softened by sinking your feet in hot water (as hot as you can bear) and apple vinegar (one tablespoon at one liter of water). Keep them in the mix for 10 minutes and after tap them with a soft towel and massage them with a body lotion.
