This is not a fancy remedy, but it works very good and it is really cheap:
You can use it in order to get rid of dandruff and to obtain a shiny hair: just add 1 spoon of vinegar to 5 liters of watter and use it at the end of your bath, to finally clear your hair ... and sorry for my bad English. It is a old traditional Bulgarian home-remedy, but really works.
Take care to not use too much vinegar, it may burn the hair. Also, if possible, use home-made vinegar, made from grapes (or just from wine:)

...this works well to remove styling products as well. You know the feeling when you have an "up-do" done at a salon and they drench it with mousse and hairspray? A diluted vinegar rinse will help to strip the gunk out...
