Since 1860, when Giovanni Panerai, the founder of the family business, opens the first watchmaker's shop in Florence, Panerai produced an entire collection of prestigious and durable Swiss watches. In 1900, Guido Panerai specializes in high precision mechanisms. This way, Panerai becomes the official supplier to the Royal Italian.
Nowadays, Panerai brings even more innovation into world of watches: in 1999, at the International Salon of Haute Horologerie in Geneva, Panerai presents a new range of Contemporary watches based on important innovative features; a year later, the Panerai Luminor Submersible 1000 metres, a professional diver's instrument is released.
Year 2004 comes with a new Panerai collection: The Radiomir collection enhanced by the 8 Days model!
